ARTICLE I
Section 1
Membership in the Fenton Artist Guild shall be of three classes: Active, Student
and Honorary.
(a) Any person producing original art or having an interest
in the arts and who pays annual dues is eligible for Active membership. It is
recommended said members attend monthly meetings as regularly as possible and
make a concerted effort to participate in guild activities.
(b)Student membership is limited to high school and
College students not over 22 years of age. Dues shall
be one half of active membership dues.
(c)An honorary member shall be person selected by the Executive Board chosen
for support rendered this
organization through past activities or extraordinary
services. No dues are required. || Top ||
ARTICLE II DUTIES OF OFFICERS
Section 1
The regular term of office for all officers shall
Commence on the first day of January.
Section 2
The President shall preside at all meetings of the Guild and Executive Board,
shall appoint the chairman of all standing committees and shall be an exofficio
member of all committees except the nominating committee.
Section 3
The Vice-president shall, in the absent of the president, perform the duties
of that office, shall act as an aide to the president, shall chair the program
committee and shall perform any other assigned duties.
Section 4
The Secretary shall keep the minutes of all meetings of the Guild and the Executive
Board, keep a copy of the Constitution and by-laws of file, write and keep
on file all necessary correspondence and other pertinent data and may keep
a record of attendance at all meetings.
Section 5
The Treasurer shall collect all dues and receive all money belonging to the
Guild, pay all bills, keep an itemized account of all receipts and disbursements
and present an accounting at each regular meeting and to the Executive Board
upon request. The treasurer’s name is to be listed with the bank for
check-signing purposes, along with the president’s name.
Section 6
The Newsletter editor is to attend all meetings and write a newsletter to be
sent to all members monthly to announce the forthcoming meeting and review
past and present business. The printing and mailing of the newsletter is to
be the responsibility of this officer.
Section 7
The Historian shall maintain a scrapbook which shall contain items pertaining
to the Guild and the Guild activities. The scrapbook will be available to

ARTICLE III EXECUTIVE BOARD
Section 1
The officers of the Guild, immediate past president, and charter members of
the Guild constitute the Executive Board.
Section 2
The Executive Board shall meet at the call of the
president.
Section3
The Executive Board shall have the power to initiate and transact the general
business and audit financial records.
Section 4
The Executive Board shall have the power to fill any vacancy in office for
the remainder of the term.
Section 5
The Executive Board shall have the power to change the day and time of the
meeting.
Section 6
The Executive Board shall create any necessary committees. || Top ||
ARTICLE IV STANDING COMMITTEES
Section 1
Standing committees implement and oversee specific areas of Guild activities
subject to the approval of the Executive Board.
(a) Jurying committee shall consist of a chairman and two other active
members who shall meet when appropriate to evaluate work for a specific
exhibition.
(b) The Program committee shall consist of the Vice-president and three active
members. They will be responsible for arranging the programs for all monthly
meetings.
(c) The Nominating committee is to consist of three active members who will
report at the November meeting a name (or names) for each office to be filled.
This does not prelude nominations from the floor.
(d) The Annual Membership Directory committee shall consist of the President,
Vice-president and any additional members needed to organize, publish and
distribute the directory. The directory should be available at the January
meeting.
Section 2
Standing committees shall meet at the call of the president or their respective
chairman.
Section 3
The chairman of the standing committee shall be appointed by the president
and in turn shall select the members of the committee to serve.
Section 4
Chairman of each standing committee may be called upon to present a report
of the work of said committee at any regular meeting and prepare a yearly
report on the activities of this committee to be filed with the Secretary.

Section 1
Meetings are to be held the third Tuesday of each month, with the exception
of December, at a place and time of which the membership has been duly notified.
Section 2
The monthly Refreshment committees shall be responsible for the refreshments
at the meetings. The membership of the committees shall be recorded and distributed
in the annual membership directory. The chairperson for each monthly committee
will be the first person listed who is responsible for contacting and organizing
the members on the committee. || Top ||
The fiscal year of the Guild shall be from the first day of January to the thirty-first day of December. An annual fiscal report will be recorded with the secretary and will be available at the January meeting. || Top ||
Should the Fenton Artist Guild Organization dissolve,
all assets, real and personal property, shall revert to the South Lakes Community
Arts Council (SLCAC), its successors and/or assigns. || Top ||
