These are pictures that five women cooperatively did on Wednesdays. Three paintings were done, one was raffled off with the proceeds going to the new Cultural Center. The pictures are named Dance of the Butterflys, Dance of the Hummingbirds and Dance of the Ribbons . |

| HUMMINGBIRD HILL
"DANCE OF THE HUMMINGBIRDS" PAINTING This painting was created by five local artists and is the second in their "Dance" series. The five artists are: Mary Lou Ackerman of Fenton, Irma Brady formerly of Linden, Joan M. Horcha of Fenton, Judy Paris of Gaines, and Janis L. Rolison of Holly. It was painted in acrylics and took several months to complete. Sometimes they worked individually on it and sometimes they worked in a group. The finished size is 35" X 42" and contains twelve hummingbirds. Kelly Smith of the Jagged Edge Gallery of Fenton did the professional matting amd framing. The group of women artists have created these paintings to be used as fund raisers for the future Fenton Cultural Center. The first in this series was raffled off and raised $4000. This painting is valued at $2500 and is available for purchase, with the proceeds going toward the fundraising efforts of the Fenton Cultural Center. Joan M. Horcha |
